Will the Distributed Switch version 5.5 End of support with vsphere 5.5?

Question :

I have vsphere 6.5 using dvswitch 5.5. from the vmware document, Distributed switch 5.5 is compatible with vsphere 6.5. The vsphere 5.5 will reach its end of support on September 19, 2018. Will the dvswitch version 5.5 supported with vsphere 6.5 after September 19, 2018?

Since distributed switch is not a product, I don't think there is a seperate EOL defined for it. It should be September, 2018. However when both vCenter and ESXi are upgraded to version 6.5, it does not make any sense to keep the vDS still on 5.5. Unless, there is a practical justification for the same.
