Which guest is it required to exploit VMSA-2018-0026?

This Security advisory VMSA-2018-0026 is stating “VMware ESXi, Fusion and Workstation contain an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in SVGA device. This issue may allow a guest to execute code on the host.”

I would like to know what kind of guest is it required to exploit this vul.? Is it guest to the ESXi host or guest to the virtual machine’s OS?

AFAIK, it could be any of the virtual machines (irrespective of the guest OS) running on ESXi, Fusion and Workstation platforms.
