It seems like when I try and download 6.7 that the downloads button is greyed out or it takes me directly to the 7.0 download.
Is there any way to download the older 6.7 esxi?
You should be able to select the version in the upper-left corner of the download page.
Licensed customers should be able to download via my.vmware.com
6.7 won’t be available as an evaluation download any more though.
So if I only had the free version it wont display it?
Hi,
You can download it from the link below.
https://my.vmware.com/web/vmware/evalcenter?p=free-esxi6
Unfortunately that link brings me right back to the 7.0 download.
This is the 6.7 link; you need a my.vmware login.
If you are looking for the "free" version. That is no longer available as the free version is only covered for the latest version of ESXi Given the release of 7.0, all 6.7 free links have been removed.
Kind regards,
Fouad
As soon as I log in it greys out the download links
Do you have a yellow banner stating
"You either are not entitled or do not have permissions to download this product."?
if that is the case then you are stuck, as the "free" version of 6.x is no no longer available.
If you have a 6.x license then that site would be where you could officially download the ESXi Media.
Kind regards,
Fouad
Yes, that is what I get.
7.0 doesn't work on my old xeon server.
Have you tried to see if you can download a vendor specific build of ESXi?
I think that there are some vendors that still have ESXi 6.7 iso's available for download.
Otherwise you may need a support contract or have purchased vSphere, to maintain a download link.
It looks like the web site issue with forwarding the v6 link to v7 has now been fixed.
