Weird datastore situation

We had one ESX 6.0 server and one 6.7 and both were connected to a Dell MD1200 enclosure.  Both could see the shared storage and both could read "Dell-DAS" datastore.

I vmotioned all VMs off of the 6.0 server and put 6.5 on it we now have one 6.7 and one 6.5.

When I reconnected the storage, the 6.5 could NOT see the "Dell-DAS" datastore.

An on-site tech did a new install of the OS for the 6.5 box and now the 6.5 box can see "Dell-DAS" but it's named "Dell-DAS(1)".  Of course the data is the same, but still, this isn't right.

I'm trying to sort out what I did wrong and I'm striking out.

Can someone kindly point me in the right direction please?

Thanks

Are those NAS datastores? I believe it is not taking same name so appended the (1).

Similar topic or issue discussed here NFS share getting a (1) appended when adding to a new host in existing datacenter

Thanks,
