I want to disable root login to ESXi 6.7 not only SSH login. Can I disable root account or disable root login access to ESXi 6.7?
Yes you can. Its called "Lockdown mode" and they made changes and improvements over years. So take a look to https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/6.7/com.vmware.vsphere.security.doc/GUID-88B24613-E8F9-40D...
In short its disable the "remote" Access for the root and the Host can only be managed trough vCenter. Depending on the configuration root is only allowed to use the DCUI.
