Hi All Hope all are safe and well.
I have an ESXI 6.7 U3 host that keeps loosing network connectivity on one of the network adapter.
My hosts have 8 network adapters and I have a spare adapter that I would like to replace that questionable adapter.
I am using distributed switches
I need to remove VMK0 replace it with Uplink 7
Is there a way to change VMK0 to use Uplink 7 instead of using uplink 1
Thanks
Tom
If all the uplinks are active then the teaming policy decides which uplink will be used for vmk. We cant make any choice in that
I think there may be some confusion abut the network configuration, and the items involved.
If a vmnic# (physical NIC port) has issues with the physical connection, then it's the vmnic which may need to be replaced, but not the VMkernel port group.
What's the purpose of the second VMkernel port (vmk5), which is in the same subnet (unless you use a small subnet mask) as vmk0?

I do not have a teaming policy setup
How can I swap the network adapters ?
The problem adapter is the primary adapter for the Management DS
Screen shots would be helpful
Hi.
You can change in teaming policy active uplink and leave only vmnic7. Or you can create another portgroup with only vmnic7 as active uplink, than migrate vmk0 to newly created portgroup.
