Hello, I tried to install vcenter server appliance on dell server. the installation fails at 51%. I have a doubt it could be a problem with FQDN. my number one question is does it cause a problem if the reverse look up does not resolve the domain name? and what other issues could cause the deployment failures at 51%?
Proper DNS name resolution (forward, and reverse lookup) is a must have, unless you use the IP address instead of the FQDN in the installation wizard. Note however, that using the IP address may work, but is likely not officially supported.
