Vcenter Permissions

Strange permissions issue.

We have 10 datacenters listed in our Vcenter config with permissions set on only one of them for this particular user.

We've set no specific "No Access" permissions as this causes more issues than it fixes.

User can see 8 of the 10 datacenters (Including the one they have permission too).

Apart from the datacenter that the user has permission too, all of the other datacenters have the same roles and permissions assigned so I would expect that the user should only see the datacenter they have been given access too.

Scratching my head a bit here, anyone got any ideas ?

Thanks

Have you checked the other DCs permission tab and see if that specific user is there or not?

Yes,

Not there.

Most of the other posts I've seen say to use the "No Access" role to hide vCenter items but this causes other issues if users are members of multiple access groups

The strange thing as an example: 2 datacenters with exactly the same permissions (User should not have access to either datacenters and is not in any access groups). User can see one of the datacenters, but not the other one ??

If you are not giving a user permission to access DC, it's by default no access. Specific no access permission is not required which is what I am doing in my setup. Need to check if any bug/issue in specific version of vCenter. What version you are using in your setup?
