VSPHERE 6.5 Can't connect to external network.

I have ESXI 6.5 with 5 Ethernet adapters attached. I installed pfSense onto it. If I connect the WAN side of pfSense to the original VM Network port group, it pull's an ip address no problem. I created another vSwitch, connected to another physical adapter on which I want my network traffic to come into my server. Now pfSense does not pull an ip address. Nor does it give out ip address external to ESXI on the LAN side.

VM Network -> vSwitch0 -> vmnic0

Management Network -> vSwitch0 -> vmnic0

WAN -> vSwitch1 -> vmnic1

LAN -> vSwitch2 -> vmnic2

if pfSense was connected to VM Network

set up 1:

-pfSense -> VM Network -> vSwitch0 -> vmnic0 -> Router | This set up recieves and ip address fine.

-pfSense ->  LAN -> vSwitch2 -> vmnic2 -> Switch -> Host | Host receives no ip address from pfSense. However internally VM's will receive ip's on the LAN network.

set up 2:

-pfSense -> WAN -> vSwitch1 -> vmnic1 -> Router | This set up DOES not recieve an ip address from the router.

-pfSense ->  LAN -> vSwitch2 -> vmnic2 -> Switch -> Host | Host receives no ip address from pfSense. However internally VM's will receive ip's on the LAN network.

What am I doing wrong here ?
