Hello
I Have a HP DL380p G9 Server.
At The Weekend the Server Disks crashed.
The Server have 5 Disks in a Raid 5.
One of the Disks are Faild and one is on Predictive.
I have the defect Disks exchanged with new one.
The locical disk is accessible again.
On ESXI i see the scsi Disk:
But i can't mount the VMFS partition as Datastore.
If i add a new Storage, esxi wants to format the VMFS partition.
thanks for Help
Michi

I get the following message via ssh
esxcfg-scsidevs -m
VmFileSystem: fsUUID is null, skipping
I do not know if that's good or not
Hi Michi
> fsUUID is null
That does not sound good. Please read my notes here:
Create a VMFS-Header-dump using an ESXi-Host in production | VM-Sickbay
If you provide such a header dump I maybe able to extract the VMs even when the VMFS-filesystem is damaged.
Feel free to call me via skype "sanbarrow" - ich spreche deutsch.
