VM's won't connect to the internet

I am running Windows 10 with Workstation Pro 14.x and then an ESXi host on the Workstation Pro for a test we are doing. I am running Ubuntu 16.04 on top of this and I try pinging 8.8.8.8 without luck. Tells me destination is unreachable. I have enabled promiscuous mode on the ESXi host.

From a desktop on the same sub net as all of the VMs, the ESXi is 10.68.30.186 while my desktop is 10.68.30.125 and Ubuntu VM is 10.68.30.72   All of these IPs are from a Windows based DHCP server.

Suggestions as to what to try to fix this or links to other threads with similar problems? I have tried KB.vmware.com and not found anything useful yet.

Shouldn't you enable promiscuous mode on workstation network if you are running a nested ESXi?

Thank you,
