VM boot problem: The total number of virtual CPUs present or requested in the configuration ...

Hi,

I just completed a migration to esx 6.7.0.
When starting vm I have this error:  The total number of virtual CPUs present or requested in the virtual machine configuration has exceeded the host limit: 0.
VMs can be launched directly from the host but not from the vcenter server.

Can you help me please?

Thank you all!

AS the error message is this:
The total number of virtual CPUs present or requested in the virtual machine configuration has exceeded the host limit

The obvious question to ask is how many sockets/cores/threads does the host machine has and how many vCPUs are configured for this VM? So does the number of vCPUs exceed the total CPU cores/threads in the host?

Can you check the DRS advanced options, do you have e.g. MaxVcpusPerClusterPct set to 0? If not, what other options do you see?
