VM Gets IP from DHCP but can't ping the gateway or the DHCP server - ESXi 6.5.0 Build Number 5310538

Hello,

I'm undergoing an issue, that I have ESXi hosts 6.5.0. Have created VMs on it. The issue is VMs get the IP address from the DHCP, but from the VM, I can't ping to the gateway and the DHCP server also.

Client version:   1.18.0

Client build number:   5270848    

ESXi version:   6.5.0

ESXi build number:   5310538

VM Operating system: Windows Server 2012 Standard and 2016 Standard

DHCP is not a vmware service, you want to check with your networking team, there is a dhcp server somewhere providing these.. If your getting new ips, but can't ping the gateway the dhcp server is providing the wrong one, or there is a misconfigured switch somewhere.
