Coworker was upgrading/migrating vCenter environment and trashed my VIC appliance. Now I'm having difficulty fully deleting VCH. I was able to run vic-machine delete with --force option, but the VCH was out of synch with the resource-group that was originally created.
Then I tried to re-create VCH and got the following error

This VCH and VM have been deleted by vic-machine, and I verified it was removed from vCenter.
If I run vic-machine inspect <params> I get the following error:

vic-machine ls provides the following error:

Any advice for being able to redeploy VCH? Do I pick a new name or redeploy VIC Appliance?

Found the issue was that under VMs and Templates, the "folder" still existed. I manually removed from inventory and now I can re-issue VCH create command with original name.
