Upgrades and Vcsa

Greetings everyone.

I took over at my company about two months ago.  I have found that everything seems to need updating.  I have made great strides in this effort but want to ask the community for some input.  We are currently running v center 5.5.  I need to upgrade to 6.5.  I was wondering do i need to do this first or possibly migrate to Vcsa first? Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks.

2 - Upgrade your hosts esxi 5.5 to hosts Esxi 6.5. Recommend update from server firmware.

First check which version of vsphere your hardware is supported.

What is the hardware model?

Yes.

First you should upgrade your vcenter 6.5.

Then upgrade your esxi hosts to version 6.5.

No, there is no direct upgrade path from 5.5 to 6.7. You must transition to 6.0 or 6.5 first. For more information see this KB and this blog article.

Try used the ISO Dell customized. This imagem.

so just to be clear you are recommending upgrading first and then possibly moving to Vcsa after upgrade?

Use the VCSA migration assistant and go directly from Windows 5.5 to VCSA 6.5.  Much easier that way!
