Unable to ping from VM on VMWare Workstation to VMs on ESXI 6.5

I am running VMware Workstation 15 and I have a Windows 7 VM. I currently have it set to NAT.

I am attempting to ping a Windows 2008R2 Server on my ESXI 6.5 host. The VMs on ESXI can ping each other. The VM on Workstation cannot.

I cannot ping any hosts

I cannot RDP to any hosts. I receive an error it cannot find any hosts.

On my host machine I set the network adapters for VMnet1 and Vmnet8 to IPs in the Subnet, but I still cannot access or ping any hosts on my ESXI server.

please clarify what exactly you did, regarding "On my host machine I set the network adapters for VMnet1 and Vmnet8 to IPs in the Subnet,".
Modifying the adapters' settings directly is not a good idea, this should only be done from the Virtual Network Editor.

With the default configuration, NAT (assuming you use DHCP on the virtual machine) should work out of the box, and the VM should be able to reach each system that can be reached from the host.

In doubt, please provide the output of ipconfig /all for the host as well as for the virtual machine.
