Unable to Power on Server

Hi

Not sure if  this is the right forum for this.......

When trying to power on Linux server get the following error in vSphere XXXXXX.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on. Failed to lock the file.

looked through various VM KBs not really helpful.  Recreated the descriptor file as advised here VMware Knowledge Base

but still not powering on.

The disk chain is consistent.

background:

VMware ESXi, 6.0.0, 7504637

Server is Linux box.

Any pointers or help much appreciated.

Zak

Thanks SatyS and Nancho for your feedback.

We Managed to resolve the issue by powering on the server where it was locked to.  i.e. the server was locked on host 13 and we were trying to powerit on afte rmigrate on host 16.

all working now.

Thank you both for your support.

hey, hope you are doing fine:

Can you share VM hardware details?
Are you using a raw device mapping?
How many disks do you have?

Warm regards
