USB not detect in ESXI 6.5

Helllo

after searching alot, i find that esxi 6.5 does not support fat32 and ntfs. is it correct?

if its true so how can i move data with usb (8 or 16 gb) to esxi ?

ive follow this tutorial:

https://www.virten.net/2016/11/usb-devices-as-vmfs-datastore-in-vsphere-esxi-6-5/

but get error:

/dev/disks/mpx.vmhba32:C0:T0:L0: Permission denied.  (Have you set the partition type to 0xfb?)

also how can we mount external hdd which has backup to esxi and move data ?

"Please remember that using USB Datastores is not supported by VMware so if you have problems, do not open service requests for that."

A very simple option is to export the VMS.

When following the directions for OVF/OVA Export here: Export an OVF Template

USB as datastore is not officially supported so if you're going to move your data from USB to ESXi you can consider:

1. format the USB to FAT16 then mount to ESXi

2. transfer data via SSH
