Total count of Vsphere events using eventFilters or eventManager per levels

Can we get the total count of events using eventFilters or eventManager per levels in the host and clusters in the readnextevents call for VSphere?
@LucD  I went through some of your old posts, can you help me in this case. Also do we still have the limitation to query events upto 1000 records in the same api call?

To be honest, I have no idea what you mean by "... total count of events using eventFilters or eventManager per levels in the host and clusters ..."

The 1000 events per call to ReadNextEvents is a maximum in the API afaik.

By total count of events I mean that if I use eventFilter to filter say sign in events for a selected time frame, then is it possible to get the total number of such events in that time frame. Then we could fetch the results 1000 records at a time.
