Hi all, I have been looking for a tool add and configure multiple hosts in order to have them ready before adding them to a vCenter.
I know I can open multiple instances of the vSphere client, but would prefer a more unified look (like the one offered by Workstation, the only issue is that I cannot configure the ESXi host).
Any help would be appreciated.
best regards
This is exactly what Host Profiles are for in vSphere Enterprise Plus. It's probably your best tool for that.
I think the reason why VMware Workstation can "get away with so much" so to speak, is because it's intended for labbing purposes only. They even let you nest in ESXi into it.
When something drastically goes wrong at a cataclysmic level, we can just go 'meh'.
That may be why Workstation has certain bells and whistles that ESXi (geared for HA) does not.
