Timeout USB Stick - Bootbank cannot be found at pa...

In my home lab I have a intel nuc canyon where I use a usb stick as boot medium with. Although it's working fine the whole setup, I have one problem:

If the esxi host is running for some hours, I get a time-out for the usb stick, which results in config lost after a reboot which is really annoying

Is there any way to fix this issue?

Do you have any time frame for how many hours USB is getting timed out? Did you try changing the USB stick with new one? See this KB: https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/1021345

Try running the command #Isusb and esxcli storage core device list | grep vmhba to see if the host can still read or lost connection completely.

Until the time you fix this, you can save a copy of your hosts settings and reload the saved settings to the host after reboot to avoid re-work.
