TKG 1.2 with or without HAProxy?

Currently planing for TKG 1.2 fresh install on vSphere 7.

I discovered that started from version 1.2, the Tanzu Kubernetes Grid does not require the HAProxy, as shown in figure below. (From doc: https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Tanzu-Kubernetes-Grid/1.2/vmware-tanzu-kubernetes-grid-12.pdf)

But the installation of supervisor cluster(workload management) in vCenter 7 web requires HAProxy otherwise the supervisor cannot be enabled. At least I saw this when evaluating the architecture.

(Note that I'm not going to use NSX-T/network virtualization product)

Can anyone from VMware clarify this situation please? Will the fresh deployment of TKG 1.2 (with typical networking) be stopped by the need of HAProxy or not?
