I have two Netapp datastores connected to my vSphere 6.7.0 build 16046713 via NFS, titled Protected and Unprotected.
I have a VM that's in the Unprotected datastore and I'm trying to migrate it to the Protected one. When I try to migrate the storage, I get: "The operation is not allowed in the current state of the datastore.".
When I try to unregister, move, reregister, I can move files in and out of Protected just fine, but the reregister stage errors with the same message.
There are no alarms on either datastore, according to the vCenter web UI. There are VMs already on Protected that are running just fine.
Creating a new VM on Protected gives the same error though.
If I SSH into the vCenter appliance, I can see the following in the logs. This error is of course extremely unhelpful. I expect that "msg" and "faultMessage" should contain an actual error string.
What can I try next to debug?
