Question :

ESXi is using FC on storage at the momenet. However, it is in plan to be shifted to another location together with the storage but there are no plan in using FC again. The plan is to use mini SAS. Any impact on this changes or any action need to be taken before this move?

You need to keep in mind that when you migrate over you can only expose the datastore to a host using 1 protocol. So they CANNOT be connected over FC and miniSAS at the same time, which it seems you won't be doing, but just making sure.

Also, I would recommend to unmount the datastores and then connect the mini SAS at the other location, this probably means you will need to re-register all the VMs! So Make sure to print a list, or do a dump of all the VMs you have running.
