Small VMware Environment Suggestions

We have a small cluster in the DMZ with about 20vms. Any ideas on low cost solutions for a small environment?

We had a 3 node VSAN cluster, but ran into trouble and decided to go back to our own SAN for now.

Anyone used the Dell VRTX for this scenario?

2 - 3 hosts

shared storage

1GB networking

Hi,

VRTX is a quite nice infrastructure not only for low cost solutions. I know the solution where each of near 80 quite big supermarkets has all store applications hosted on VRTX. Since 5 years we had no problems with performance or data loss. There're typical fans, battery etc. issues, but nothing extraordinary.
