Slow RDS server 2019

i have a issue and hopefully someone can help me clarify it.

we have a RDS server with the next confi

32GB Memory / 2.30GHZ Intel R Xeon CPU E5-2698 V3 8 logical processor.

8CPU / 4 Cores per sockets running on vMware host ESXI 7 latest VMWARE Tools.

everything is running on vMware Paravirtual SCSI controller, NIC VMXNET3

the customer has like 10 users working on this RDS.

but the issue is opening Excel or Word takes like forver to open,

RDS Servers and Files Server Are Datacenter 2019 yes licensed. 

Can someone please help me why is it slow?

ive googled but come acros something like edit registry / NIC power settings ect....  but didnt want to edit the registry just like this.

What type of storage is the datastore on? How is the latency on it?

Is it only a problem with Excel and Word or is the whole user experience sluggish and all software take a long time to open?

storage is raid 6 ssd hpe.

I noticed the speed is not that fast as ssd should be.
so don’t know why ?  Are the isci adapters the cause ?

You need to narrow down where you "lose time".

Is it only happening on the first start of Excel / Word? I.e. does it load faster once most of it is memory mapped / comes from the standby list.
Does this happen on a physical installation of the image, i.e. do you have a working comparison?
As @vXav asked (and you haven't answered), is anything else slow or just those two applications?
If it is the latter, you might want to use e.g. https://live.sysinternals.com/procmon.exe to see whether you are blocking on some external resources.

While it isn't relevant here, you might want to set the VM to 8 CoresPerSocket. The recommendation to "align to physical HW" doesn't mean to replicate the number of (v)sockets, it means "align to where it is placed on the physical HW". Given that the e5-2698 v3 has 16 cores, you'd want one (v)socket VMs up to that size.

Yes, but I also said that it is most likely not causing this issue and you should really concentrate on everything else I wrote in the last update to get to the bottom of this.
