I want to upgrade vCenter Server in one of our customers. I am currently using vCenter Server Appliance 6.5. Can I upgrade to vCenter Server Appliance 6.7? Simplivity is used in our customer's environment. So I wanted to get ideas before upgrading.
Hi,
You can upgrade vCenter Server directly. But you said you were using Simplivity. Not all versions of Simplivity support. Therefore, you should contact HPE for the supported vCenter Server version. Can you review the link I mentioned below? From page 15 on.

Hi James,
Before upgrading VCSA for simplivity ,
you have to check the OVC version first and then the Simplivity Interoperability guide for the specific OVC version ,such as 3.7.8 or 3.7.9 Interoperability guide to check which OVC version can be supported by which VCSA version .

Thank you so much. There is no upgrade method specific to Simplivity, is there? It's no different from a normal vCenter Server upgrade, is it?
Completely normal vCenter Server upgrade process. You will only need to install the Simplivity plugin after the upgrade. Otherwise, you can do the upgrade process normally.
Remember, ask HPE for version compatibility support before upgrading.
Thank you so much!
