Roll to allow updating of Host Root password?

vSphere 5.5.x

Our "Password management" team presently have administrator access to the cluster?

I would like to cut this right back so that they can only change the hosts root passwords.

What roll option controls this?

Thanks

Robin

Not sure I can detail more.

Need to know what "roll" options need to be set to only allow the specified user to se the root passwords on the ESX hosts on 5.5

By default, standalone ESXI host has 3 roles, you can add new role and assign it to user only to modify permissions. That particular user will able to modify permissions including password reset.

You will also find this option at vCenter level
