Replacing old hosts with new 6.7 or 7 with 10Gb NICs

We're going to replace 3 production ESXi hosts on which some VMs are running. Current hosts are: rack HP DL 360 servers with 4x1Gb NIC ports for VMs. These VMs are in fact Windows Servers, various versions - 2008R2, 2012 and 2016 all Standard editions. New hosts - also HP DL360 but new Gen 10 - will have 10Gb NIC ports, and my questions is: because VMs use currently 1Gb NICs, after shut-down and moving shut-downed VMs to new hardware (new hosts and VM's files to new storage also) after powering up in new vCS these VMs, will Windows VMs find/recognize 10Gb interfaces instead of 1Gb ? Of course now they have static IP assigned, but any other changes will be required to do ? Will Windows recognize 10Gb automatically ? Can older version - 2008R2 - work with that connection ? It will be on hosts ESXi 6.7 or 7 installed - no decided yet.

What type/model of virtual NICs are configured for the VMs? VMXNET3 is a virtual 10Gb NIC.

These VMs have VMXNET3  NIC card. And what about Virtual Machine Version ? Some of them are 8 and other are 10. And VMWare Tools ?

It's usually worth updating VMware Tools . Whether to update the virtual hardware versions depends on your needs. However, in your case you may consider to update it to at least version 11 for security reasons (see e.g. https://planetvm.net/blog/?p=3305)

I checked and on all VMs  VMWare Tools is updated. So any other things to consider ? Or will it "see" in VMs this 10Gb NIC from start ?
