Recovery plan

HI all.

although I know that there could be many views on this topic I would like to know what you have in place for emergency recovery , I case you get Ransomware or compromised , what do you have in place to rapidly recover and get your business up and running as fast as you can. from reloading esxi host all the way to restore VMs.

Thanks

hi

for my working experience with VMware products, i don't know a specific product for recovery of Ramson.

There are some specific 3d part products that work with VMware envinroment like Veeam or the new Dell Cyber Recovery Solution.

Every product, i know, work with the backup infrastructure...

If only there were solutions for that: https://www.vmware.com/products/cloud-disaster-recovery/ransomware.html

Thanks all,

Yeahh we have avamar and veeam for the VMs structure but then I was hoping to find something for the ESXi host, but I guess if the esxi gets compromised reload is the only way to go , so I was looking to see if you all that have vxrail or synergy as a virtual solution , how did you get ready for such a thing Ramson

Thanks to all

From what I know about Dell's product (but I believe also Veeam and other 3rd party products), it works exclusively on backups and not on vmware infrastructure. It therefore gives you the possibility to "save" the esxi configuration.

As scott28tt wrote check out the vmware product. Personally I don't know him yet. I will take the opportunity to consult it too
