Question on vsphere essentials

Hello, new to the community but have been a user and maintaining VMware for awhile now, just my first build of one from the ground up. I inherited everything else..

 I wanted to make sure for the Vsphere Essentials licensing that is 3 Physical servers and 2 Physical processors each? or is that Vcpu's?

  • 3 Hosts with max. 2 CPU each
  • One Instance of vCenter Essentials(max. 3 Hosts)

Yes I understand that is word for word what it says, am I over thinking here? 

My question is,

I have 1 Physical server 2x CPUs with 10 cores each. I plan on putting 4 Virtual Machines each with 2Vcpus on the ESXi host.

Would 1x of the Vsphere essentials cover this?

Yes, vSphere Essential will cover your requirements.
