Profile Driven Storage stops - vcsa 6.0u3

I seem to be having exactly the problem mentioned in KB article 2001804 VMware Knowledge Base , that being that the profile driven storage service seems to start briefly, then fail when the vcenter server service completes it's startup.. The KB article mentions changing some settings in an .xml.. but it references the windows install and not the vcsa linux version I'm running on one of my esxi hosts.

Is the file mentioned in that KB article even on the vcsa 6.0u3 vm server?  This being the sps-config.xml file?

I'm at as loss as to why this service refuses to start and keep running.. was encouraged by that KB, but am now stuck again not knowing if I can apply the workaround mentioned in that article.

Thanks!!!!

Hello OptoIT,

The comparable configuration file on vCSA is:

/etc/vmware/service-state/sps/sps.properties

I have made a personal note to contact the kb author for adding the necessary details for vCSA to this article.

Are you sure this timeout/re-connect is the issue?

What is the exact message you are seeing in vSphere Web Client?

What does the sps.log report when this is occurring?:

Default location is /storage/log/vmware/vmware-sps/sps.log
