Pre-upgrade check failed with FQDN

We are getting this doing an upgrade of 5.5 to 6.5 on the vCenter appliance.  When I was doing an upgrade on the test environment, I just when into the appliance and regenerate the certificate which resolved the issue.   Any help would be appreciated.  Tried both DNS and IP address.

vCenter Server Appliance FQDN xx.xxx.xx does not match the configuration of the vCenter Server certificate. vCenter Server DNS names: "localhost.localdom, localhost" vCenter Server IP addresses: ""

Resolution:

Verify that the vCenter Server certificate is valid and that it points to the vCenter Server Appliance FQDN.

I rebooted the appliance and it allowed me to go on.

Thanks,

This happens because of the invalid hostname specified on the vCSA 5.5

You can use the below blogs and try the steps before upgrading to 6.5

Note: please snapshot/backup vcenter before performing changes on vcsa 5.5
