PowerCLI

Hello. Tell me please, what is the difference between vSphere PowerCLI and Power CLI.

Is it different products or the product was renamed?

If you're saying vSphere PowerCLI and PowerCLI. then this the same thing.

If you are saying vSphere CLI and vSphere PowerCLI/PowerCLI. These are different.

vSphere Powercli is you can say extension to PowerShell or PowerShell snap-in used to different components such as vCenter, VMs, Update manager, datastore. This is based on PowerShell.

Whereas CLI or vSphere CLI is more focused on physical hosts and hardware devices management, this is Perl based tool.

Below is the documentation for both

vSphere CLI for vSphere 6.5 - VMware {code}

VMware PowerCLI 6.5.3 - VMware {code}
