PCIE Passthrough

I am using ESXi 6.7U2 iso as a hypervisor for virtualization in the plant environment on HP server, but the network communication between the Server and client is not entirely on ethernet. The HMI client-Server architecture runs on PCI-E -RFM Card and it's connected with the HMI server.

So as to solve this can I use PCI-E passthrough feature for the RFM card? or VMware allows such Refractive Module Passthrough on virtual environment?.

Provided your host hardware supports "DirectPath I/O", what you describe should work.

I didn't find any compatibility chart for such Card as it is a special type of card so I need to ensure it first.

So if my server supports direct I/O then Refractive module card will be allowed for passthrough?
