Open source KMS server for VMware per-VM encryption

Good morning, all!

I'm looking for recommendations for an open source KMS server that has a history of working with VMware per-VM encryption.

I originally designed the project with HyTrust's limited KMS server that was going to be free. It's not any longer, and the pricing on KMS servers ranges between a few and several body parts. I did find that, according to VMware, any KMS server that's KMIP 1.1 compliant or better should work.

Any thoughts on searching for this open source grail?

My advice is that if it applies to the actual environment, it should be with a technical support contract.
