New to VMware

Hi.  I am lost with the pricing.  I would like to run two hosts on a single 1U server.  One host needs to run Ubuntu and have 16 vCPUs, 16 gig memory and the other host needs to have 4 vCPU and 8 gig memory.  What version of vmware do i need and what are the costs for licensing from VMware .  if there is a pricing configurator someone can point me to I would appreciate it.  Thank you.

If you can downscale your VM to 8 vCPU, you can use the free ESXi license.

The least expensive edition to archive your goals is a "vSphere Essentials Kit". The Kit comes with a license for vCenter Server for Essentials, and 6 CPU licenses for 3 hosts with up to 2 physical processors each. If you don't want/need vCenter Server to manage the host, you may simply assign the CPU licenses directly to the host.
