NIC teaming across Mellanox Connectx-3 and Intel X520

I have a 2 port Mellanox Connectx-3 at 10Gbps and 2port Intel X520 on a Dell C6320 running the Dell A06 ESXi Image. Also, I have Installed the Mellanox Connectx-3 3.16 driver for ESXi 6.5.

My NIC team is vSwitch0 (Intel NIC0, MXNIC1)

Wondering if the NIC teaming between ports Mellanox and Intel NIC will work or if its supported for VMware esxi 6.5?

If ESXi sees and can address the NICs, there is nothing stopping it from working. The only thing of which to be aware is possible performance differences or bugs caused by disparate hardware and drivers. It's not a reason not to use it and, in fact, there are many pros when using such a setup, but it is something to keep in mind.
