Install OpenManage into ESXi and access like you would any other managed Dell server.

Do you have a n iDrac?

Alternatively you can SSH to the server

try running

dmidecode -t memory

I can't remember if it works but I have found this info somehow from the CLI.

Did you try either of the suggestion above?

If you have a DRAC configured then it will tell you.

If you don't then "dmidecode" should tell you.

Then you didn't read the article very well. When you install the OpenManage VIB, you can connect to that instance from another installation of OpenManage and get all the memory statistics (plus more) that you can get if you had an iDRAC. Below is a screenshot taken from one of my ESXi hosts.

You don't have the iDRAC Enterprise in that case.

You should order "OpenManage Integration for VMware vCenter" formaly known as "Dell Managment Plugin for VMware vCenter" which adds your PowerEdge Inventory into vCenter so you can see it on cluster or host level. Its available since 2010 or so.  It show support lifetime also and as a major plus you can apply FW updates to the hosts through WebClient.

Regards,

Joerg
