Hi,
vCLS VM's are supposed to get automatically deleted when the last Host in the Cluster is placed in Maintenance Mode right?
They just powered down but are not getting deleted and I need to unmount the SAN datastore they reside on, any reason why?
I know I can retreat mode at Cluster level to force their deletion but can anyone explain why they are not deleted (Version: 7.0.3, 20036589)
Thanks
Andrea
Are they not powered off either?
Hi, @andvm
Good question, but I'd say no, at least from what I've seen, last week I shut down my cluster by first putting all the "hosts" in maintenance mode, the "vCLS" machines shut down as expected but remained where they were.

Ferdinando
yes they powered off automatically but I expected them to get delete automatically
Can we please confirm expected behaviour and what to do/check in such situation?
if there is no solution I guess I need to fall back to enabling retreat mode for this cluster?
I wanted to avoid this as cluster is to be decommissioned so the removal of vCLS VMs should happen automatically when all Hosts in a Cluster are placed in MM.
they are powered off, as documented, not deleted. Will filed a feature request for this, as it is annoying indeed.

Hi,
If I may, IMHO it's just as annoying that vCLS objects are created as soon as a cluster is configured regardless of the fact that without having the correct level of license, at least for now, they are practically useless.
