LACP with different NIC vendors

Hello everyone,

I would like to know if I can create a virtual switch, connected to 4 physical NICs (2 Intel and 2 Broadcom) and configure LACP with IP Hash. My question is: does teaming between different NIC models work? Because for example in MS Windows Server you need to have the same NIC model.

Thanks a lot for your help! Regards!

You really shouldn't be using LACP at all, use route based on original port ID or route based physical NIC load if you have distributed switches.

LACP is a misunderstood technology and is used between hosts and switches when there is no benefit and it adds unnecessary complexity.

+1 to the above. Unless you really understand LACP well, you shouldn't be using it with vSphere. And even then, you probably still shouldn't be using it.
