Joining VCSA 6.0 to Active Directory. Comptuer name is not the same as the VCSA hostname???

I have  fresh build of the VCSA 6.0u2 with an embeddeded psc. When i join it to my AD domain, it creates a computer account in the ad that doest match its name.

For example its fqdn is  testinglocation-vcsa-01.test.local

When i join it to my ad it joins fine but in my AD i now see a computer account with a display name of TESTINGLOCA-1ER7RB

WHy?

I have tried to pre-create the windows account with the proper name prior to joining the vcsa to the domain but it ignores this and creates the TESTINGLOCA-1ER7RB computer account in AD instead ignoring the manually created computer account.

I cant change the name of the windows computer account name.

how do i get my names to match and where is it pulling this TESTINGLOCA-1ER7RB from on domain join?

Because machines joined to AD cannot have names over 15 characters in length, and yours is far more than that hence the reason.
