Is it possible to release VM's Host Memory utlization? if VM's guest active memory is very low

eg scenario

For a vm  with memory 8GB , I can see host mem for this VM is  5GB and guest active memory is 10MB only. Is there any way to reduce the host mem utlization for this vm?

Please find the below screenshot Host Mem is 7,723MB Guest Mem % is 7 and Memory Size (Allocated) is 8GB. If this vm is actively using only 7% of memory  can we reclaim the unused memory which is holding by the VM ?

In similar cases, I recommend to use the reservation option not a static number of memory. in this case you can use or benefit from the unused memory.
