Installing vCenter Server 6.5

I got through the first step of installing vCenter Server 6.5 but the 2nd step is where the issue lays.

After going through the setup part in the 2nd step and clicking finish it just sits there and hangs at 5% progress "Starting VMware Identity Management Services..."

This is the first time I have tried to setup a vSphere so I just let it run all night not knowing how long it actually takes to complete. When I checked the next morning it was still stuck at 5%.

Do you have forward and reverse set up? Do you have NTP configured when going through the installer? Can you show the inputs you used when you used the wizard?

Yes , I configured all of that.

After the 2nd attempt at installing the vCenter server with appliance it worked. Not exactingly a smooth installation but I can access the vCenter server through the vSphere Web Client.

During the 2nd install I just "X" out of it and tried to connect through the vSphere Web Client and it worked. I was still able to connect even though I didn't let it finish installing, weird.

Nothing has really gone smoothly but I'm fumbling along.
