IOPS Latency

Hi

does the IOPS get impacted without SAN zoning ? i have 6 esxi hosts connected to SAN ( 3par storage, 4 controllers connected to Fabric) , SAN is connected to fabric switch and zoning is not configured, how does that setup would effect IOPS latency ?

Any help would be highly appreciated

Zoning has nothing to do with successful I/Os, only whether a host can see and access a LUN.

Thank you for your replay, yes i know that , but if there is no zoning configured on the SAN, does that effect the performance of the SAN ( does that generate high IOPS latency ? )

Once again, zoning is not related to anything having to do with performance, so no, it has no bearing on that. Zoning only controls what hosts can see what devices.
