I need to update ESXi 5.5 to 6.5 Licenses?

I need to update ESXi 5.5 to 6.5 the technical procedure I have more or less clear. The concern should be acquired new licenses when one uploads from version?

You'll need to go into your MyVMware portal and upgrade your 5.x keys to 6.x. After the upgrade, assign the upgraded license key.

As long as you have a valid support contract (which you do), you can upgrade your licences with no additional cost. You can proceed to https://my.vmware.com to do that. Find your licences under "Manage License Keys" section and you can upgrade them there.

No, not as long as you are current on support/maintenance.

I think if my current support contract is for 5.x and if I am upgrading to 6.x then either I have to pay to upgrade my license or pay for 6.x support contract then upgrade the license at free of cost. In any of the way, it incur some cost before we upgrade to 6.x ? Correct me if I am wrong.

You have to have a support contract for 6.x anyway, and when you have that you should be able to upgrade your license keys. I'm not a VMware account manager and don't know all the possible situations, so if you require clarification on what's required from a back-end accounting standpoint, you should call and ask them.
