Not very familar with VMware using linux, have always used VSpeer to start servers, when I try to connect I cannot access the server invalid user account.
I was using Vspere 6.7 but no I am running 5.5.
Any suggestion will help..
Invalid user account ??? How can the root account be invalid ?
The article says: "The steps in this article require root access to the host, either at the physical console or using SSH."
Do you have ssh turned on?
Yes, I verified that SSH is on.
I can logon directly to the server using root.
I get to the prompt and not sure what I need to do next. I always have user VSphere 6.7. Right now I have 5.5 and am trying to get 6.7 installed.
I tried the command vmware-cmd -l, using KB article listed above.
It tell me the -1 is invalid command?
The KB article that I've posted contains the steps for different ESX/ESXi versions.
The commands under "ESXi 4.x, 5.x and 6.0" are the ones which will work for your version.
