How to reinstall vcenter appliance 6.7

Hi

my vCSA 6.7 is crashed and I need to reinstall it.

I searched the net for some solution but without success.

At the moment on the nodes I stopped vpxa.

  1. I can't access vcenter via Browser
  2. I can't access vcenter via Browser using the port 5480 (unable the login)
  3. I can't access vcenter via SSH (putty)

I tried to use rpm to find vpxa on the hosts, but the shell returns the error that doesn't find rpm.

Please, can You help me in order to uninstall the agent manually and reinstall vcenter appliance?

Thanks in advance.

Gaetano

You don't need to uninstall the agent manually, simply deploy a new vCSA and join your hosts to it.

I have this same problem, vCSA crashed after a normal shutdown and then vCSA could now power ON normally.

I am considering to install a new deployment for vCSA (there are three server in vSAN).

But I have a question: if I deploy a new vCSA, keeping in mind that ESXi are working, what would be the process to reinstall and "take" the normal function of these ESXi(s)?

Regards!
