So how it works in Linux world?
Thanks,
I've attached a doc with step-by-step procedure to extend LVM. You will have to customize the commands and replace the LVM from your linux box.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you Vijay, so i have increased the size of the vmdk now do i have to restart the server? can i increased without restarting the server?
Also if i do restart than could you please provide the steps as per the attached file you sent. Appreciated
Thanks,
Yousuf
You will have to reboot the server if you are expanding the existing vmdk.(Maybe partprobe can help but I am not sure)
Reboot the server and follow the steps from the doc I attached.
Were you able to increase the vol?
I have to schedule the downtime so will do today or tomorrow. Will update you once done.
Thanks,
Yousuf
were you able to get this sorted?
