Hello Forum,
I need to fetch a report of resources utilization, specially CPU and memory, for multiple Virtual machines for either a defined period of time e.g. 15 days or last 1 months or some particular period of time.
I am aware that under VM's performance check option, by setting counters and adjusting chart options, I can see those reports for any parameters like CPU or memory for any period of time and can also export the same in CSV format. But that's isn't feasible when report is needed for a number of VMs and different parameters.
On the other hand, I searched over Internet and found some options like vRealize Business for Cloud etc. But it's not a free tool and one need to purchase it. Although I can purchase it, but it will be not be much utilized by me since I just need a simple report of VMs resources and that also not regularly but only when asked.
So can you please suggest if there's any freeware tool or application (either provided by VMware itself or by any 3rd party) which can do the work for me?
VMware vSphere version: 6.7
Thank you so much.
You can use RVTools - https://www.robware.net/rvtools/
RVTools report provides real-time CPU and memory usage of a VM under it's vInfo tab i.e. CPU and memory usage when we generate the report. It doesn't provide a periodic report (e.g. for last one month or for some particular time period). I am looking for any tool that can provide CPU and memory usage report for last one month or for some particular time period. Please advise if I am wrong.
